during the inter semester break, i managed to squeeze in a long weekend trip to visit my wee sister Erin who lives in Wellington. my brother Scott + i saved some pennies by taking the overnight bus down from Auckland, + because of snow on the desert road we managed to extend a 12 hour bus ride into 14… at our arrival we were met by sideways rain + gusting winds. needless to say the weather was less than kind to us – cold, wet and typically Wellington (but at least there were no earthquakes at that point!). my friend Bec from WoodPursuits.com joined us for the last two nights too. one afternoon we camped out at Mac’s to play scrabble simply cause it was so nice + warm in there! we visited the Andy Warhol exhibition at Te Papa as well as the amazing series of large scale images by Gregory Crewdson… that man is a genius. also hooray for catching up with my good friend Fran!
