shooting medium format.

in first year we spent a little time learning how to use the Mamiya RZ67 camera, a medium format beauty which has steadily found itself to be one of my favourite things ever to photograph with. you look down into the viewfinder, which shows you a horizontally flipped image of what’s before you. the images are in a 6×7 format, with lots of detail meaning they print really well. i stumbled across these scan files, the first ones i ever shot + developed in the dark room! lots from around our first flat on carrington road, + the last frame of myself + sarah, my first year buddy (who now studies in wellington with my sister!) check them out below:
